We arrived about 20 minutes early and our table was already set up for us. There were 10 of us including children to celebrate my mum's birthday. I asked the waitress for recommendations and told her that my mum would not like to have any fresh prawns, crabs or fish. All dishes were wonderful but their vegetables dishes were extremely good. We had BBQ combo (roasted pork and char siew), fish maw with mustard green, egg plant with satay sauce, homemade beancurb with mushrooms & spinach and mashed taro for dessert. Their teochew braised duck/pig intestine/pig's ear combo set was good. Not overly powered by herbal spices. However, their pig stomach soup was average. A bit too peppery for us. Maybe we are Cantonese and prefer less pepper.
I would like to thank the service staff for their hospitality. I bought a cake for my mum and they promptly put my cake into their fridge. When we ordered our desserts, the staff asked whether we would like to have our cake and number of candles used. They brought our cake out together with forks and plates and the waitress even sang birthday song with us. It was a very enjoyable family dinner. ...
